Bridge benefits from Run's wanderings

Bridge Native won the Jerry O'Donovan Memorial Rated Novice Chase at Tramore as Benefit Run hung away his chance at the business end.
It looked like well-backed favourite Benefit Run had more to give in the hands of Rachael Blackmore going to two out.
As it turned out Blackmore was trying to keep her mount straight but he gave it away on the run-in hanging left and Conor Orr and Bridge Native didn’t need a second invite to prevail by three and a half lengths.
Ciaran Murphy, assistant trainer to successful handler Dot Love, said: “She deserved that and had two lovely runs so she knew what she was doing today. Hopefully the handicapper won’t be too hard on her and she should win a few over fences.
“We got a job done on her wind and we gave her a nice break so we think that has made the difference. The owners have been very patient and given us the time with her.”
