Bride finds plenty for Cooper

Devils Bride was given a confident ride by Bryan Cooper to land the Southampton Goodwill Chase at Listowel.
The Willie Mullins-trained gelding travelled well to claim front-runner Lord Ben two from home, in the two-and-a-half mile contest, but had to get down to work on the run-in. Texas Jack pushed him hard in the closing stages and the Gigginstown gelding only had a length to spare at the line.
The 2/1 favourite was following up his handicap win at Galway nine days ago.
"I kept him wide for a bit better ground and I don't think he would have won otherwise. He jumped super and can go further," said Cooper afterwards.
