Charles Byrnes' homebred Aodhan May (11/4f) following up a recent Navan success with consecutive wins today, landing Punchestown's Book Your Group Deal Today Handicap Hurdle under the trainer's son jockey Philip Byrnes.
Aodhan May is a granddaughter of the trainer's second ever runner Barnearrig Lass (in November 1994), and today followed up a 16/1 success at Navan on February 11 with a third career win.
Byrnes senior reported “she handles the ground and she had a lovely light weight. He kept it simple.
“She's brilliant to jump which is a blessing as well and we'll keep her going as long as this ground lasts. She broke down a couple of times before so we wouldn't be running her on good ground.”
