Brandam Surprise for Sheehys
James Sheehy (21) rode his second winner on his brother Eamonn 'Dusty's' Brandam in the Racing In Red Handicap Hurdle.
This fellow caused a 25/1 shock by battling well in his blinkers and tongue-strap to beat Royal Man (a 12/1 chance) by a neck. Sixty six to one shot, Box Breaker was a length further back in third.
James' previous winner was on Prince Linamix, also for his brother, at Wexford in July 2005.
Brandam runs in the colours of Nuala and Willie Barron, well-known business people from Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny. (EM)
