Boynagh brings joy to Halpin
Trainer James Halpin and jockey Seamie Heffernan combined together to land the www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap Division 2 with 6/1 shot Boynagh Joy
Despite Boynagh Joy been unruly in the parade ring and being difficult to load Heffernan got a good tune out of the Definite Article filly.
Heffernan was in front inside the final furlong and the pair kept on well to hold off the fast finishing Tobar Suil Lady by a neck.
Winning trainer Halpin said afterwards: “The form worked out well with the previous winner (Fandango Boy). She has been unlucky all Summer with getting balloted out and she loves good ground which we never got.”
“As regards plans I don’t know where we’ll go next. I suppose Wolverhampton could be an option we’ll have to discuss it with the owners.”
