Two horses began to draw clear of the field racing to the final furlong of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden and it was Elda who found a bit more in the closing stages for 7lb claimer Sean Bowen to beat Never Shout Never by three-parts of a length.
The four-year-old daughter of Elzaam was sent off at 6/1 having been available at 16/1 this morning
Winning trainer Andrew Kinirons said of his winner who is owned by Ben Browne: “She shows loads of pace at home and we thought an awful lot of her. She ran well but was on the wrong side the last day.
“She was mad well and it was Sean’s first ride for us. I was very impressed with him.
“I think she’s a progressive filly and we’re going to have a lot of fun with her.
“The Brownes are great owners and very loyal to us so it’s great to get a winner for them.
“We’ve had a lot of placed horses this year and we needed that. Overall they have been running well.”
