Bottle holds his nerve for Limerick upset
The SCA Nutrition Handicap Steeplechase proved an exciting affair with Shake The Bottle finishing best under Donal MacAuley to cause a 20/1 shock.
At least four or five of the 16 runners were in with a chance approaching the final fence, where Adenauer fell when disputing the lead.
The Michael Winters-trained winner led on the run-in to beat another 20/1 shot Premier Hero by half a length, with Oscar Dubh (11/2) a further length and a half back in third.
“He's a funny horse but there is a bit of ability there and he can produce it at times. He's had a job done on his wind, and found the ground too heavy at Mallow last time,” said Winters afterwards.
