Boro bashes the bookies
Il Boro landed a touch in the mile Nursery Handicap when leading a furlong out and staying on gamely under Declan McDonogh to deny top-weight Nucals Star by a diminishing head.
The son of Oratorio, from the family of Twice Over, attracted interest at 14/1 in the shops this morning and was sent off an 8/1 chance.
“He's related to Twice Over, and I think he'll be a far nicer horse next year. It's unlikely that he'll run again this season," said trainer Eddie Harty.
