Course specialist Presenting Bonnie recorded her fourth win at Kilbeggan when getting on top close home in a thrilling finish to the Midland Breeders Beginners Chase this evening.
6/5 favourite Nero Rock took them along in the two-mile-three contest but was tackled by John Ryan's charge after the second last fence.
There was nothing between the pair jumping the last and it was Presenting Bonnie who found a bit more near the line to secure a half length win at odds of 15/8.
The Presenting mare had won three times over hurdles this summer at the track, the most recent victory coming a fortnight ago.
It was her second outing over fences having fallen at the first on her chase debut at Killarney back in May.
“This is a proper filly. That was a good race as Nero Rock ran a 141 horse very close the last day,” said Ryan.
“Obviously we had respect for him but we really fancied this filly as she's on a roll. She's gutsy and she's better over fences than over hurdles.
“There is a lot to look forward to and she'll go to Listowel for the mares novice chase now.”
