Bonner records first track winner
Regina Bonner trained her first winner on the track when her charge Fast Lightning landed the Cruise Handicap in the hands of Danny Mullins for owners the Self Preservation Syndicate.
Twenty three year old Bonner who is from Ballybofey Co Donegal has currently nine horses in training at present. Bonner also practices as an equine dentist.
A delighted Bonner said afterwards: “I only have this horse two months and we’re just thrilled he won. We will see what the handicapper does before we make any plans.”
Martin Harley is said to be fine after his mount Giant Slalom slipped up two furlongs from home.
