Bolger lands Curragh finale
Apache sweated up, pulled hard and didn't get the run of the race as he bidded to give Ballydoyle a five-timer in the concluding Tipperary Crystal Maiden at the Curragh, a race that went to Irish Review under Kevin Manning.
Odds-on Apache had too much ground to make up when in the clear and finished third behind Jim Bolger's Irish Review who just did enough from outsider Ansgar
Bolger said: "He's a proper horse. Last year he was a big weak horse but he's coming into his own this year."
