Jim Bolger’s stable has really struck form recently, and Ceol Na Nog made it seven winners in the past week for the Coolcullen maestro when taking the Summer Ladies Day Handicap in fine style at Navan.
The Teofilo filly was part of a double for the yard when scoring over a mile and a quarter here a fortnight ago, and she appeared to relish this step up to 1m5f. Lambeau Field set the pace but was headed under two furlongs out by the 7/4 favourite who soon asserted.
Kevin Manning ’s mount stayed on really well inside the final furlong, and was a comfortable five lengths clear at the line. Restive took the runner-up spot, with Lord Justice a further one and a quarter lengths back in third.
Ger Flynn, representing trainer Jim Bolger said, “Kevin said she got the trip well. She’s an improving filly and loves galloping away.”
