Latchet gained her third win this year when coming out best in a three-way photo-finish to the concluding Curragh Grand Opening Handicap at the Curragh today.
Trainer Jim Bolger and his wife and winning owner Jackie Bolger endured a three year wait, from 2016-18, for success with Latchet but today she followed up wins at Dundalk in January and at Leopardstown last month when edging ahead close home for a head and a nose success over Mutadaawel and Treble Cone
Afterwards winning jockey Kevin Manning mentioned of the daughter of Intense Focus “she was brave in the finish and really stuck her head out. She’s quite versatile trip wise.”
