Bodak was a game winner of division one of the mile handicap in Dundalk under Tom Madden who moved to within one winner of riding out his claim.
The three-year-old Kodiac filly was niggled along in second over three furlongs out as Confident Kid led her.
She was ridden by Madden passing the two but kept finding and took over from Confident Kid racing to the final furlong.
Bodak (10/1) stuck to her task well to fend off strong-finishing Only The Brave (16/1) by half a length for trainer Jessica Harrington. Blackstone Cliff was a further length and a half away in third at 16/1.
Tom Madden said: “It’s nice to get a bracket for that filly as she’s well-bred (half-sister to Pincheck) and hopefully getting her head in front will do her good.
“She likes being up with the pace and will stay further. She’s very honest, very genuine, stays going and is hardy.”
