The Ger Lyons-trained Bobby Boy will aim to win his third race from just five starts in the Handipak Play Live At Limerick Racecourse On July 25th Handicap on Saturday.
A son of Big Bad Bob, a stallion Lyons has had plenty of success with, he was unraced at two - but made up for lost time when winning on his debut at Naas in heavy ground last March.
He performed well in two further runs last year, but was not seen again after finishing third at Navan in early June.
On reappearance this season he regained the winning thread from an opening handicap mark of 81 and won at Navan by half a length.
He has been hit hard by the handicapper with a 10lb rise, but he was probably value for a good deal more than the official margin as he was four lengths clear at one point.
Dermot Weld 's unexposed Mujid and Jessica Harrington’s Onlyhuman look likely to pose the biggest threats.
Weld's Azwah looks a key player in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.
A son of Invincible Spirit, he looked all at sea when 10th of 12 on his debut at Cork, where he was backed as if he was expected to run well.
Next time at Listowel he fared better when third of seven over seven furlongs, staying on at the finish.
This step up to a mile looks ideal at this stage of his career.
Willie McCreery will be heading to Royal Ascot with leading claims as Ickworth tackles the Queen Mary, and he may head there with a winner thanks to Watermelon Bay in the Stagefright Play Live At Limerick Racecourse On July 13th Handicap.
Second last time out at Gowran, she should go close again off the same mark.
John McConnell is in good form and his Cj Cregg is looking to follow up a recent Roscommon win in the Party Time Family Fun Day On July 7th Apprentice Handicap.
