Blue prevails in tight finish
The six furlong maiden at Fairyhouse looked a quality contest and it was Gibraltar Blue who emerged on top after a tight three-way finish.
Tommy Stack 's filly was produced to lead inside the final furlong, by Wayne Lordan, and kept on gamely to see off the late charge of Ballydoyle runner Dynasty
John Oxx 's newcomer Bass Rock who had led at the furlong pole, was just back in third.
"She'll go for the Goffs Million Sprint (Curragh 27th September). She goes well and had always gone nicely," said Fozzy Stack.
"She had a hold up in the middle of summer or you would have seen her earlier. It was just a minor niggle."
It was Stack's first runner for South African owner Marcus Jooste.
