Blaze sets Trail for Townend

Blaze Trailer ran out a convincing winner of the Bet With The Tote Handicap Chase under a confident ride by Paul Townend.

Townend settled his mount in behind leaders and was on terms with the leader Ashfield Present when he crashed out the second last.

The son of Indian Danehill kept on gamely from the last to record a twelve win over Springmount

Winning jockey Townend reported, "He jumped and travelled well throughout, he idled a bit when he got to the front but he was the best horse in the race."
