Jockey Rachael Blackmore and trainer Ellmarie Holden teamed up for the first time this season to great affect when landing the Down Royal Corporation Handicap Hurdle at Downpatrick today with well backed winner Presenting Sun
The son of Presenting was today debuting for Holden on his return following an 11 months absence and was backed from 20/1 this morning in to 9/1.
In the race, Blackmore tracked the leaders, improved him to lead approaching the final flight where he landed awkwardly before the pair eventually scored a three and a quarter lengths win from Santa Anna
Holden wasn't present and afterwards Blackmore said "he saw it out really well and there's plenty more improvement to come.
"Ellmarie was very happy with him coming into the race - it's great he could get the job done."
The win was Holden and Blackmore's 13th success together.
