Blackbow made all for a facile cruise around Clonmel.
The 155-rated chaser went off at 30/100 for this extended two mile three chase and proved to be in a different league to his four rivals.
He increased the lead to eight lengths three out and drew right away from a hard-at-work Spyglass Hill at the next.
Paul Townend 's mount glided home by a whopping 36 lengths from the 9/4 second favourite.
The other three horses were never a factor.
Willie Mullins said: "It was a nice opportunity for him and we have the Topham Trophy in our minds. It is a bit quick but we'll have a look at that or a look at something at Fairyhouse - it'll be one or the other.
"He got things his own way and he took his opportunity so I'm happy with him."
