After winning the third with Russian Soul Mick Halford and Shane Foley (celebrating his twenty-eight birthday today) doubled-up with Hat Alnasar as he completed a hat-trick in the Brubakers Dundalk Handicap.
Successful on his two starts over the course last month the consistent son of Moss Vale was sent off the 7/4 favourite this evening in the colours of Fathi Egziama.
Sent straight to the front by Foley he made all and was ridden out from over a furlong from home, keeping on well in the closing stages to score by half a length. Aussie Valentine finished second at 7/1 under Conor Hoban for Paul Deegan, while Split The Atom was half a length back in third.
Mick Halford said afterwards: "He just keeps improving and just keeps doing enough.
"He got it handy enough in front there tonight and a mile is his ideal trip. He's thriving on racing, is as sound as a ball and it's all falling right for him.
"He loves it around here and has done us proud over the winter. He's so straight-forward and that makes some difference as you can pop him out and do your own thing."
