Big Zeb wins Fortria
The Colm Murphy trained Big Zeb made it winning season debut after he landed the Ladbrokes.com Fortria Grade 2 Chase.
Barry Geraghty settled the Oscar gelding in behind the leaders and improved to join leader Made In Taipan travelling well at the second last.
Geraghty who sat motionless for most took up the lead close home and ran on well for a half length win over Made In Taipan.
Winning trainer Murphy said afterwards: “We’ll either go to Sandown or the John Durkan next. We’ll see how he comes out of the race.”
“I’d of preferred not to run him on this sort of ground but there was nothing else for him and he needed more experience over fences.”
“Ground will decide where we’ll go next. I think he’ll be a stone better on better ground.”
