Beyond The Law continued on an upward curve to take the featured Munster Hurdle at Clonmel.
The Westerner gelding landed a maiden in fine style at the Limerick Christmas meeting, and the former winning point-to-pointer scored here in equally emphatic fashion under Robbie Power.
Trained by Mouse Morris and running in the familiar colours of the late Alan and Ann Potts, the 7/1 chance took control in the straight.
The 4/5 favourite Draconian tried to throw down a challenge approaching the second last but was soon struggling as Beyond The Law came right away to score by 22 lengths.
Morris said, "He won easy and is improving and goes on the ground. The tongue-tie is a big help and ground could be a factor with him. He will probably get an entry in the Michael Purcell Hurdle in Thurles.
"He is a chaser in the making."
