Bewitched dazzles the remainder
Charles O’Brien and Johnny Murtagh teamed up well for favourite backers in the last at the Curragh as Bewitched took the concluding Group 3 Renaissance Stakes at 13/8.
The four-year-old daughter of Danisili took the spoils by three-parts-of-a-length and improved her strike rate to 8-18. Charles O’Brien believes she could be better than Group 3 class.
He said: “Johnny says she is a Group 1 filly but there aren’t any more over six furlongs so we’ll have to see where she goes next.
“I’m relieved she won as I don’t like running one again so quick but she didn’t have a race at all at Haydock (eighth to Dream Ahead in the Betfred Sprint Cup on September 3rd). She came home heavier than she went." Definightly (5/2) and Croisultan (16/1) rounded out the placings.
