Bethrah bolts in for Weld/Smullen
The Dermot Weld trained Bethrah made light of losing her maiden tag, on her second career start in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at Limerick today.
Ridden by Weld's stable jockey Pat Smullen, the daughter of Marju (4/9f) made all for an easy three and a half lengths win over a much inferior field.
Weld was represented by his son Kris Weld who stated “Bethrah is a useful filly and she ran very well in the 'Million Sprint' at The Curragh on her only start as a two year old. We'll target blacktype success with her now and the Derrinstown Stud Guineas Trial at Leopardstown is next on her agenda.”
