Best Man O'Grady scores with Maryiver
Half an hour after his unrelated and not-to-be-confused namesake Edward (E.J.) O'Grady claimed the opening race, Co Cork based Eoghan (E.) O'Grady trained Maryiver to win the Graun Hill Mares Maiden Hurdle at Tramore today.
Ridden by Martin Ferris, the point to point winning daughter of Runyon led from the fourth last flight before staying on well for a ten lengths win over Galianna
Winning trainer Eoghan O'Grady was represented by his father Arthur who reported “Eoghan couldn't be here today as he is best man at a wedding at Killarney.”
He added “Maryiver will be lightly campaigned for now as she is a nice chasing prospect – there is a mares' novice hurdle for her at Cork in a few weeks time.”
