- Berry & Moran are Pretty Happy
Berry & Moran are Pretty Happy
Pretty Happy runner-up on her chase debut at Gowran Park last month, went one better when landing the Clonmel Mares Beginners Chase in the hands of Robbie Moran. Killultagh Queen was expected to take all the beating here but things didn't go to plan for the 4/9 chance, who stumbled badly on landing after the third fence.
Emmet Mullins gradually got her back into the race, and Willie Mullins' charge was a close up third and held every chance when crashing out at the last.
Pretty Happy (7/1) took full advantage, maintaining a narrow advantage over Annie May (9/1) and finding extra in the closing stages to score by three quarters of a length.
Winning trainer John Berry said: “She won a handicap hurdle at Clonmel and loves it around here, although it wasn't the greatest of races. Hopefully she can pick up another one.”
