Benash scores for Carr/McNamara
The John Carr trained Benash followed up on his recent win at Navan after he landed the Ratoath Maiden Hurdle under Andrew McNamara.
McNamara was never too far off the pace aboard the Beneficial gelding, the pair took up the lead at the second last and stayed on well to record a four length win over Johnnyofcourse
Winning trainer Carr stated afterwards: "He's a fair on soft ground, the softer the better for him."
"He'll go for the winners of one race on the Wednesday of the Punchestown Festival and that'll be it for him."
"We'll probably go chasing with him next year. He's related to a few good horses over fences."
