The Bold Beckey recorded her third victory and put up a career best effort when taking the Clonmel Oil Race Day Handicap Hurdle in fine style.
The 4/1 winner and Stay With It had the 2m4f event between them from two out, and a mighty leap by Shane Crimin’s mount at the last sealed the issue.
She stayed on strongly to draw clear on the run-in, and had six lengths to spare at the line, with 9/4 favourite County Champions almost four lengths further away in third.
Winning trainer Tom Nagle said, "She's only a pony but is game and has been incredibly well all the time.
"I thought she was a certainty if she handled the ground and it was a lot weaker race than the one at Limerick. Shane (Crimin) said he always thought she was going to win."
Crimin said, “She’s a nice little mare and I seem to get on well with her. She galloped through the ground well, and I knew once she got into gear in the straight she would fly.”
