Jockey Ryan Moore and trainer Aidan O'Brien combined to win the Group 3 Airlie Stud Gallinule Stakes at the Curragh today with Beacon Rock who booked his place at Royal Ascot in the process.
The son of Galileo made all and in the end stayed on gamely to hold the challenge of Santa Monica by two lengths.
Afterwards O'Brien stated “he's a tough horse and kept responding. Ryan was left alone in front and gave him a very good ride. He was only only what he had to do.
“We'll have a good look at Ascot with all those horses and he'll get a mile-and-a-half.”
