Bay makes it three for JP
J P McManus completed a treble at Sligo when Ross Bay became his third winner for a different trainer as the daughter of Flemensfirth confirmed the promise of her opening effort at this track 25 days ago by landing the concluding Sean Graham Bookmakers INH Flat Race.
Padraig Roche, riding for his father, Christy, led on the four-year-old going well over a furlong out and she went on to beat the promising first-timer Avida Star by two and a half lengths.
Frank Berry, representing McManus, said: "She did it nicely. She is not too big but she is a game little thing and she'll go hurdling now."
Eddie Harty trained Carrigmartin (Mark Walsh) and Jessica Harrington handled Alpine Eagle (Andrew Leigh), the two earlier McManus winners.
