The Aidan O'Brien trained Battle Of Jericho readily justified 1/7 favouritism to win the Toals.com Bookmakers Race on his seasonal reappearance run at Fairyhouse today.
Ridden by the Champion Trainer's son Donnacha O'Brien, the son of War Front, having his first start since October, improved to lead over a furlong out and in the end stayed on strongly for a two and three parts of a length win over Verhoyen
Classic winning jockey O'Brien later said “he was entitled to do that off his rating (100) and it was straight-forward enough, he got a grand lead into it and quickened up well.
“He's been off for a while and he'll improve for that.”
