Bashkirov gives Walsh first winner
Robbie Walsh steered home his first winner when Bashkirov came up the centre to claim the 1m4f handicap at Dundalk.
The Luke Comer-trained colt led three furlongs from home and stayed on strongly in the closing stages to score by three lengths from 5/4 favourite Inch Rebel
22-year-old Walsh is a Dublin native and is apprenticed to Dunboyne handler Comer. The winner was backed at 20/1 in the morning and returned 10/1.
