Bargain buy filly Showcourt won on her Irish debut at Dundalk this evening, making all to win the Dundalk Stadium Handicap for trainer Johnny Feane and jockey Gary Carroll.
Winner of a Goodwood maiden last May before finishing well down the field in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot, the daughter of Showcasing was picked up for just 5,000gns last October and made a fine start to her Irish career, winning by three parts of a length from Surrey Pink 0AAfterwards Feane stated "she stuck at it well. There are another couple of three-year-old handicaps coming up here and we'll stick her in those and see how she gets on."
Carroll added "it was fairly straightforward and she stuck her head out well. She's a nice filly and should do well on grass over the summer.
"She should stay seven furlongs around a bend and tries very hard."
