Bargain buy Showcard doubled her connections' outlay when winning her second Irish start in three races at Dundalk this evening, landing the Dundalk Stadium - Light Up Your Night Handicap for trainer Johnny Feane and jockey Robbie Downey.
The daughter of Showcasing was picked up for just 5,000gns last October and having made a winning debut for Feane at Dundalk in January, followed up on again in another E5,865 to-the-winner event this evening, under capable claimer Downey.
Feane, a nephew of former trainer Declan Gillespie, later commented "there is another race for her in March over six furlongs and that might suit her."
"We rode her wrong the last day and she was too keen and Robbie gave her a good ride tonight.
"She toughed it out well and is a game little filly; she was a good purchase. "
