Baresi gets back in the groove
Baresi and Ger Fox negotiate the last in Limerick

Baresi won an eventful handicap chase in Limerick and gave trainer Charles Byrnes a double at the track today.
He tracked Lapse of Reason before easing past before the third last. Fox was motionless as Baresi quickly opened up a gap approaching the second last. At this stage only Lapse Of Reason Monelissio and Hans Crecent were in the same parish.
Baresi (11/2) duly hacked up as Lapse Of Reason blundered two out. Monelissio (11/1) came by him for second.
“His jumping had gone to pot. He had jumped way out to the left, but I told Ger Fox to ride him handy and keep the revs up. The cheekpieces are a help. He’ll keep going over the summer,” Charles Byrnes said.
Only seven of the 12 horses that started completed the course.
