Banned made the breakthrough at the 15th time of asking in the concluding maiden at Ballinrobe.
She had run in maiden company the whole time - six in Britain for Hughie Morrison and nine in Ireland for Joseph O'Brien and it paid off in this one over an extended mile and a-half, the furthest trip she has raced over.
The Ulysses filly, who went off an easy-to-back 15/8f, stalked Wasthatok and hit the front two furlongs down. She was ridden approaching the straight and had the race in the bag inside the final furlong.
Surprise Package (7/2) kept going in second and cut the lead down to half a length at the line without ever looking like getting there. There was a six-length gap back to a weakening Wasthatok (11/4 from 9/2).
Jockey Dylan Browne McMonagle said: "She's deserved it at this stage. She travelled around really well and I was always in control.
"She's done nothing wrong and has always been really consistent, she's just been bumping into one or two the whole way along.
"She's solid and tries hard and I'm delighted to get her head in front."
