Band Leader causes bumper upset
The Tom Foley trained Band Leader upset the odds at Thurles today, winning the concluding Littleton Bumper, under Foley's son Pat, at 20/1.
The son of Kalanisi quickened well in the straight before staying on well to defeat Ask Me Sister by three parts of a length.
Afterwards Foley reported “Band Leader had a good debut run here but went backwards after that and 'panicked' in his races. He ran too free the last day but we had him operated for his wind and he enjoys it much better out in front.”
