The Aidan O’Brien trained Perfect Storm made it fifth time lucky in the Navan Welcomes Owners (C&G) Median Auction Maiden at Navan today, winning under the Champion Trainer’s daughter Ana O’Brien.

The son of Excelebration made all and kept going well to the winning line for a half length win over staying on even money favourite Harbour Beacon

O’Brien senior wasn’t present but the winning jockey later commented “I got into a nice easy lead on him and he did it well and galloped to the line well.

“He keeps pulling out a little bit and he’s improving all the time.”
