The Tommy Stack trained Balcony was rewarded for good recent consistency when shedding her maiden tag at Navan today, winning the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Maiden under jockey Wayne Lordan.
The well backed (9/2 this morning in to 9/4 favourite) daughter of Fastnet Rock had finished in the prizemoney in five of her previous six starts and today improved one placing on recent runner-up efforts at Dundalk and Tipperary.
Stack wasn’t present and following the win, Lordan stated “she was due that as she's been running very consistently.
“She handled the ground pretty well but handles Dundalk as well so goes on anything really. She deserved to get her head in front - I'm not sure of the plan but the win was the most important part of it.”
