Baily gets rub of the Green at Galway

Favourite backers suffered a reverse in the Barna Recycling Rated Novice Hurdle at Galway today as 15/8 favourite and clear leader Childerns List came down at the final flight, in a race eventually won in a photo-finish by Baily Cloud
Childerns List had the race almost in safe keeping with just the final hurdle to jump but met that obstacle wrong and gave his jockey Ruby Walsh no chance of staying on board. Altiepix under Bryan Cooper, and Baily Green, Mark Enright, then settled down to battle it out, with just a nose separating the pair at the line.
Baily Green's trainer Mouse Morris later stated "the second last (mistake) knocked him out a bit and that (2m4f) might just be far enough for him too.
"He'll stay hurdling this season and isn't a bad horse."
