Bahrain Storm wins Grimes Hurdle
Pat Flynn's Bahrain Storm landed the featured Grade 3 Kevin McManus Bookmakers Grimes Hurdle at Tipperary today, and set himself up for a follow-up win in the Galway Hurdle in a fortnight's time.
Capably ridden by in-form Shay Barry, the son of Bahhare moved to lead two out, before recording an easy five lengths win over Cuan Na Grai
Afterwards Flynn stated "We knew he was in savage order coming here today and we'll head for the Galway Hurdle again next - today's win will leave him spot-on for it. "
He added "he has 11st08lbs at Galway and I might claim 7lbs off him then - today was a fine stepping stone for him!"
