Bad day at the office for McCoy
Tony McCoy had a day to forget at Leopardstown. The recently crowned BBC Sportsperson of the Year was forced to miss his first two booked mounts due to travel delays.
He eventually made it in time to partner the outsider Kempes in the Grade 1 Lexus Chase, but that horse made a blunder two fences from home and unseated McCoy.
The rider suffered a knock to his left wrist and was unable to ride his remaining mount of the day, See U Bob
McCoy has now headed back to England with his wrist packed in ice and must be cleared by a doctor before riding at Newbury tomorrow where he has five rides including Punchestowns for Nicky Henderson.
