Harmonya Maker overturned recent form with Hauturiere to bring up a quick-fire double for Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy in Thurles.
Saddler Maker mare Harmonya Maker went off 10/3 while Harturiere was the 8/11 favourite on the back of beating her into third by more than 36 lengths in a Grade 2 mares' novices'; chase at Limerick over Christmas.
It was a very different story in this Grade 2 mares' novices' chase, though, as Harmonya Maker ground down Silent Approach before the last. She wasn't home yet as Harturiere stayed on to look threatening at that obstacle.
Harmonya Maker was in mood to relent and kept up as the gallop as Harturiere switched right in second, but couldn't reel her in along the run-in. There was a length and a-half between the pair at the winning post.
Kennedy said: "She threw her race away jumping left at Cork two runs ago - whatever that was about that day, but she jumped straight today. She had been disappointing in her last couple of runs, but did what we had been expecting her to do all along.
"For whatever reason she had been disappointing, but it is great for her to put her best foot forward and is back to what we thought she'd be."
Paddy Power cut Harmonya Maker from 50/1 to 16/1 for the Mares' Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.
Elliott and Kennedy also landed the opener with Purse Price (7/4).
