Jim Bolger completed a timely double at Gowran today as his Panstarr rsquo;s win in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Handicap added to an earlier success for the trainer at the Co Kilkenny venue with Solar Wave
Prior to Solar Wave’s success, Bolger’s previous winner was Ringside Support at the Curragh on July 29 and Panstarr was doubling the former Champion Trainer’s tally for August, when also completing a double on the day for stable jockey Kevin Manning.
Bolger later said “she hasn’t always come up to expectations but is happy doing what she is doing (making the running).
“I think she has a chance of being a black type filly but will have another run before we consider that.”
Three and a half lengths winner Panstarr has an entry at the Curragh on Sunday and Roscommon on Monday
