Back On The Road provided Arthur Moore with an unexpected Christmas present when landing the Centra Beginners Chase at Leopardstown at odds of 33/1.

The winner paid a massive 143/1 on the Tote.

Back On The Road was a moderate 8th turning for home and at that stage appeared to have no chance of victory, but the two leaders, Deutschland and Askthemaster both fell at the last changing the whole complexion of the race.
