The feature race of the day The Gowran Park Race went to Dermot Weld's Award Ceremony with Pat Smullen in the saddle in the colours of Moyglare Stud Farm.

Dermot Weld said afterwards, 'That was a good battling performance by the horse he outstayed the rest. It was a true run race and the trip and fitness are the key to the horse. He is very fit from his race at Galway and we'll look for a Premier Handicap for him now.'
