Arkendale scores fourth career success
Kilfeacle, Co Tipperary based restricted trainer Joe Fogarty saddled his Arkendale to a fourth career win in the Punchestown Annual Membership Handicap Chase at Punchestown today, advertising the riding skills of 5lbs claiming amateur jockey Roger Quinlan.
Quinlan, who has made a name for himself in the point to point circles, eventually steered Arkendale to lead at the second last fence, staying on well for a three lengths win over Rookery Rebel
Afterwards Fogarty stated “Arkendale has been a great servant for us but I thought the ground was going to be too soft for him today!”
Added to the success, Fogarty also stands Arkendale's sire Portrait Gallery at his base in Tipperary.
