Aquilonius cosy winner of nursery
Aquilonius ran out an impressive winner of the nursery at Dundalk under Kevin Manning.
The Jim Bolger-trained colt hit the front with a furlong-and-a-half to run in the mile contest and powered home in the closing stages.
The son of Soviet Star pulled clear inside the final furlong to record a three-and-a-half length victory over 11/4f Beat The Ballot
"We're delighted to get his head in front. That's Kevin's last ride of the year for the yard and he also won on his first of the year," revealed travelling head last Ger Flynn.
"He's a fine big horse. We'll see what the handicapper does and he'll stick to handicapping next season. The whole family made better three-year-olds."
