The Tommy Stack-trained Cape Of Approval proved strongest in a tactical four-runner race for the opening six-furlong conditions race.
Joseph O'Brien was keen to lead on 9/10 favourite Parliament Square but he gave way early in the straight as Bracing Breeze took over.
Srucahan tried to challenge but his effort was short-lived as Cape Of Approval, who had been second for much and dropped back turning in, came through to press the leader with under two furlongs to run.
The Cape Cross gelding edged ahead inside the final furlong and was on top in the closing stages as he recorded a length-and-three-quarters success.
It was a return to form for the 2/1 winner, who had failed to make an impression behind Maarek at Naas last month.
“It's very heavy and he loves that ground,” said Stack afterwards.
“The ground was a big help. He's a big horse and I think he's improving as he goes along. As long as the ground stays soft he'll go for another stakes race and hopefully there's another day in him.”
