Anything Will Do made it two from three with a cosy success in the Kehoe Farming Rated Novice Hurdle at Wexford.

The Joseph O'Brien-trained gelding went to post a well-backed 6/4 favourite in the two-miler and tracked leader The Shunter

JJ Slevin let his mount slip into the lead turning for home and he looked in control thereafter, going on to post a two-length win over Owencurra Lass.

The winner had scored on his debut at Listowel before finishing third in novice company at Galway 20 days ago.

“He was very good the first day in Listowel and I'd say he got stuck in the ground the last day, it was very tacky in Galway,” said Slevin.

“He travelled much better today, he took a look in front down to the second last but he's won easy at the line.

“He's a half-brother to Stand Up And Fight, he's a nice horse going forward and he's a good hardy four-year-old. He'll jump a fence in time.”

Anything Will Do was a 50th winner for the Annus Mirabilis Syndicate.
